Manchester City have been drawn in Europa League Group A with Juventus, Salzburg and Lech.
The Blues have met Italian giants Juve before in the old UEFA Cup back in the 1976/1977 campaign, with Juve winning 3-0 at the Stadio Delle Alpi and City winning 1-0 at Maine Road.
Juve are twice European champions and three times victors in this competition in its former guise as the UEFA Cup.
Austrian champions FC Salzburg are also likely to provide stiff opposition after narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Wednesday night.
Polish champions Lech Poznan beat FC Dnipro in the play-offs. They have played in the Europa League for the last two seasons with their best effort coming when the reached the round of 32 in 2008/2009.
